Ever since the time of their heydays in Tollywood, there has been a constant tussle happening between Nandamuri Balakrishna and Chiranjeevi.
Now, it is being anticipated that the friction is heading towards an ugly turn with both Chiru and Balayya heading into the political genre.
Recently, Balayya took a dig at Chiru in one instance and this time the response from Chiru was quite open. He has reportedly stated “Balakrishna is a good friend of mine. He is ‘Bala’ (kid), and I need not respond to a kid’s comment.”
Apparently, this was the same Chiru who once said Balayya is a ‘learned man’ in terms of films and his sentiments must be respected. This was in response to the battering that Balayya gave for Ramcharan’s comments on Tamil directors and how Tollywood lacked such good directors. it is nearly 15 years since the tiff has been on between both stars and their fans were divided due to the caste factor.
And now, with Chiru becoming a Congressman and Balayya set for a key role in the Telugu Desam Party, the fireworks are expected to be more explosive between both.
Well, no one is immune to criticism when stepped into politics. Every one has to face tough criticism. Chiranjeevi lived life like a demigod when he was in films. But as soon as he entered politics, opposition party people toed him down in different ways. They said:
- Chiru drinks and sleeps and gets up late in the morning
- Chiru sold out party tickets
- Chiru is behind power but not service
- Chiru said ‘maarpu’ and he did that ‘maarpu’ into Congress
- Chiru is ignorant of politics
And now Balayya also should get ready to criticism of all sorts.
Opposition parties will surely dig his past and remind people about his shooting episode of Bellamkonda, suspicious death of security guard in his house and many more. Even Mahesh Babu steps into politics, no exception at all. Kings in filmdom can be worse than slaves when they step into politics.
